After passing MADE SAFE a product may proceed to MADE SAFE Nontoxic certification, the most advanced testing available for pioneering brands that want to demonstrate that their products are free from toxins and don’t cause harm.

This certification uses a green chemistry approach to examine entire mixtures and conduct whole product lab testing in order to determine that an item is not toxic. Note that we do not conduct these tests. Testing is conducted by outside labs that have been approved by Made Safe. Prices for testing will vary.

Member brands receive a screening report for each ingredient in every product certified. They also have access to the MADE SAFE Screening Process on an ongoing basis for R & D purposes. Members can fully participate in educational, advocacy and awareness initiatives. All members will have early access to Made Safe Emerging Chemicals of Concern Reports and other topical webinars offered.
